Q: Why should I attend?
A: This first-class conference offers you the opportunity to explore how local governments throughout Europe take action to combat the effects of climate change while pursuing economic growth. EUROCITIES 2009 Stockholm brings together the members of our large network for us to learn from each other and see how experiences and projects can be shared to help Europe’s largest cities provide the best service for their citizens.
We will explore how cities can deal with common challenges through a series of nine deep dives, speednetworking sessions, panel debates and presentations and the EUROCITIES Awards. We will look at issues such as the regeneration of industrial areas, the growing traffic in our city centres, our access to renewable sources of energy, reducing our carbon footprint through improved telecommunications or cleantech industries and providing sustainable alternatives to our design and fashion industries.
The conference provides you with a unique platform to exchange ideas and network with your colleagues in Europe, mixing politicians, officers and experts for the most fruitful debates.
