Stockholm Metro

Sometimes called the world’s longest art gallery with its 91 stations decorated by approximately 150 artists and with several stations where temporary art exhibitions are on display. The artwork is often presented in what are fascinating settings from an architectural point of view.

This tour starts at T-Centralen, home to the first pieces of art back in 1957. We will then continue to the newest line - the blue line - where all the stations are so called “cave stations”, embedded in the city’s bedrock at between 20 and 40 metres below ground. Here artists and architects have worked closely together in creating very special underground stations.

On Saturday the 28th November, escape the cold and join us for this fascinating underground tour. We will run two tours, each lasting for approximately an hour and a half; one at 10:00 and one at 13:30.

To register please email: sylva.hagman@stadshuset.stockholm.se
Remember to specify which of the two tours you would like to participate in.
